It all started with Con's dream.  He transformed his dream into plans and drawings and we were on our way.

It took 18 months of hard work along with a lot of help from friends and family. But the work paid off with a place that we are all proud of. We built the entire lodge except for pouring the slab, building the roof, the drywall, and the HVAC system. The lodge was built to match the shape of the barn. The exterior of the lodge is cedar lap-siding over a 2" x 6" frame with the interior being tongue-and-groove knotty pine. The crowning jewel of the lodge is the 26 ½ foot fireplace and the stairs milled out of cedar trees timbered off of our ground. We have a large greatroom with a wet bar, 4 bedrooms upstairs, 3 full baths, a mud room, and a large kitchen/dining area (of which the ceiling is completely lined with plate rails filled with wildlife theme ceramic collector plates). Ceramic and bronze sculptures as well as framed art work add to the lodge's wildlife theme decor.  A front, covered porch runs the entire length of the cabin. Deer and turkey frequently feed in and around our yard.
